Did you know that the number of people diagnosed with asthma grew by 4.3 million from 2001 to 2009. Asthma was linked to 3,447 deaths (about 9 per day) in 2007. Asthma costs in the US grew from about $53 billion in 2002 to about $56 billion in 2007, about a 6% increase.

In Chinese Medicine lung function is linked to bowel function. Go figure! However, every asthma case that I have ever worked with gets better, at least in part, when the bowel is addressed. It seems that medicine might be looking at the wrong end when It comes to asthma.

To strengthen the bowel you might first try stopping all dairy products. Also, probiotics (beneficial bacteria used to balance the environment of your gut) have been shown in research studies to decrease asthma.
